Haylani Pearl Kurrupu, a trailblazing beauty queen, has been named Miss Universe Samoa 2024. This is the latest achievement in her distinguished pageantry career, as she gears up to represent Samoa at the 73rd Miss Universe competition in Mexico this November. The official crowning ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 20 September at the Orator Hotel during a press conference.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, with strong roots in Samoa, Haylani comes from a proud Samoan heritage. Her family hails from the villages of Moata’a and Lauli’i, and she has been actively involved in her culture and community throughout her life. Her passion for her culture is a driving force behind her participation in pageantry.
Haylani is the first Samoan woman to hold five major titles:
- Miss Samoa Melbourne 2022
- Miss Samoa 2022
- Miss Global Samoa 2023
- Miss Global International 1st Runner-Up 2023
- Miss Universe Samoa 2024
In addition to her pageant titles, Haylani was the first runner-up in the Miss Pacific Islands 2023 competition, showcasing her consistent success in international pageantry.
